The End Of The Long Climb

Washington, Aug 26 1920 - Without pomp or ceremony, Sec. Colby today signed the proclamation declaring the woman (suffrage) amendment "to all intents and purposes as part of the constitution of the United States". The Secretary's signature affixed to the proclamation at his home at 8 o'clock this morning, a few hours after he received from Governor Roberts of Tennessee the certificate that final favorable action had been taken by the Legislature of that State, completing the final 36.

Rollin Kirby Stamp


With your help we will convince the U.S.Postal Service to issue a stamp for 3 x Pulitzer Prize winning cartoonist, Rollin Kirby. The USPS describes the process. ..... "The Citizen's Stamp Advisory Committee selects subjects of broad national interest for recommendations to the Postmaster General. CSAC is composed of 25 members whose backgrounds reflect a wide range of educational, artistic, historical and professional expertise....". they meet 4 x yearly to review all eligible proposals. "Subjects should be submitted at least 3 years in advance of the proposed date of issue..." If you agree that It is time to mount a campaign to honor Rollin Kirby, please join in.... with whatever you feel will help us accomplish this.
